Comments sought on accessible parking at Walkerton Post Office

The Municipality of Brockton is looking for public feedback on adding more accessible parking spots at the Walkerton Post Office.

Council has a proposal to amend the Traffic and Parking By-Law to relocate the current accessible parking space along Scott Street, allowing for up to three accessible spaces, including a larger one capable of accommodating a van.

The three accessible parking spaces would be located in the middle of the sidewalk, where the curb slopes down to the road, which they say would allow improved access to the front door of the post office.

Comments can be submitted to the Town Clerk until Aug. 23 at noon. To submit comments, visit here.

Council will consider remarks on this proposal at their Aug. 29 meeting.
