Greater Grand Bend Community Fund Granting Program accepting applications

The Sunset Community Foundation’s annual Greater Grand Bend Community Fund Granting Program is once again receiving applications from eligible organizations for projects and activities.

Board Chair Charlene Masschelein says there are two key requirements for applicants.

“The first key requirement would be that the project benefits the residents of the Greater Grand Bend area. And then the second main thing is that it would fall into one of our areas of interest," Masschelein explained.

Masschelein says the projects would support one of a few different areas of interest.

“So the projects would support one of these following areas of interest, including children and youth, family and community, health and physical activity, education, social services and low income impact, preservation of the environment, diversity, equity and inclusion and arts and culture," added Masschelein.

The deadline for grant submission is September 30. Masschelein says a group of community representatives will review all of the applications in mid-October with applicants being notified by early November.
