Huron County's Digital Squad is offering to provide local businesses and stores with free 360 degree photos of their facility.
Digital Service Squad member Chase Richardson says they have a special camera that is not limited to taking straight forward pictures but can scan all the way around.
"We're finding a lot of people search businesses through Google," Richardson said. "The one thing about Google is that they can see, with that image, the inside of your store or the outside of your store and get a feel for that, try and break any of those barriers of unknowns that might stop a customer from coming to your store."
Richardson says the service and the equipment is being funded by the Ontario government and they've been using it for a while now.
“The equipment is fairly new so we're just promoting that we are here and this is one of the many services that we do,"explained Richardson. "So we're putting together a couple of days where we're hitting some of the towns that we frequent often and do a batch of an many businesses as we can while the service is available."
The Digital Squad will be in Seaforth on August 16, Brussels and Clinton on August 22, Wingham on August 31, Bayfield and Goderich on September 12 and Blyth, Hensall and Zurich on September 19.
Richardson says anyone who has missed their date can email him at crichardson@huroncounty.ca or call him at 519-440-1267 to make arrangements to have their photo taken.
