The Avon Maitland District School Board is prepping for day one of the 2023-24 school year.
AMDSB officials are reminding parents of any new families in the school board's area to register their kids as soon as possible via the online registration system. That includes providing details on which school a child should attend and bus information. The link to register can be found on the School Registration page.
Also, the school year for AMDSB students will not begin on the Tuesday following Labour Day. On Tuesday, September 5, staff will be doing additional training to prepare for the school year, so students will not begin their classes until Wednesday, September 6 this year.
