OPP calling on you to join cadet program

If you've ever considered working for the OPP, now is your time.

Provincial police detachments across the country are looking for people to join its OPP Cadet Program.

It focusses on enhancing career development and experience for future police constables. As a cadet, you're responsible for helping frontline officers with administrative duties and engaging with your communities by supporting crime prevention and public safety.

In order to join, you must be at least 18 years old, a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, have your Ontario Secondary School Diploma or an equivalent, G or G2 driver's license, and no criminal record without a pardon or an absolute/conditional discharge that hasn't been sealed.

Applications for the OPP Cadet Program are open now until September 13, 2023. Successful candidates will be chosen for the first intake class, happening in November 2023, for a two-week training course.

For more information and to apply, visit the OPP's website.
