Police confirm shoplifting suspects sought in multiple areas were in Huron County

Huron County OPP confirm that suspects involved in multiple shoplifting incidents in southern Ontario committed a theft in Wingham.

On September 8 at 5 p.m., officers responded to a business on Josephine Street in Wingham for a report of shoplifting that occurred just after 2:00 p.m. the same day. 

Investigators confirmed that two male suspects came into the store separately and proceeded to take baby food, shaving accessories, and other items worth approximately $2,000. They left the store without paying. Both suspects were captured on video surveillance. They are described as follows.

The first suspect is a male in his 40's, bald with dark skin. He was wearing a t-shirt and jeans.

The second suspect is also a male in his 40's with heavier set build. He was wearing a hat and face mask, a t-shirt, and jeans.

The vehicle the suspects were in was an older model Mercedes, beige or light grey.

It is believed that these same two suspects have stolen goods from retailers in Barrie, Meaford, Saugeen Shores, Bracebridge, Walkerton, and Wingham.
