Wendell's Walk supports Lion's Head Hospital

A man spent two days walking over 60 km down the length of the Northern Bruce Peninsula to Raise Money for Lions Head Hospital.

Wendell Thomson, a member of the Rotary Club of Northern Bruce Peninsula, walked from Tobermory to Miller Lake Rona on his first day, and completed the final leg of the journey to Pike Bay Wednesday.

The hospital foundation reported Wendell had raised $19,558.75 by the time he reached Pike Bay and more donations are expected.

Rotarian Cathryn Buckley says Wendell is really happy that his walk was so successful, calling him a very humble person trying to give back to his community.

Donations can be made to Wendell's Walk by transferring to admin@bphsfoundation.com or dropped off at 369 Mary Street, Wiarton.
