Wellington County OPP charged a Guelph man and seized a quantity of suspected methamphetamine after a traffic stop in Minto last week.
According to police, officers patrolling along Wellington Road 109 on September 21 were alerted to a possible suspended driver by the Automated License Plate Recognition.
OPP say the driver attempted to falsely identify themselves to the officer.
The 31-year-old of Guelph was arrested and 58 grams of suspected methamphetamine, as well as fake identification and drug paraphernalia were seized during a search of the vehicle.
As a result of the investigation, the man faces charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking and personation with intent to avoid arrest.
The accused is set to appear in Guelph court in November.
