Police charge two with trafficking in Bayfield

A drug trafficking investigation in Bayfield has led to charges for two people, and police recovering what they are calling over $7,000 worth of offence-related property.

According to Huron County OPP, an individual was located and arrested in the Municipality of Bluewater as a result of the investigation on September 28.

Following the arrest, a search warrant was executed at a residence on MacTavesh Street. A second person was arrested during the warrant execution.

Police say they seized a quantity of suspected cocaine, digital scales, packaging material, cell phones, and cash. The value of the drugs seized was estimated to be just $700.

As a result, a 41-year-old Arthur man faces trafficking charges as well as several counts of failing to comply with court orders. A 37-year-old Bluewater woman is also facing trafficking charges.
