Hanover Police Service is investigating a pair of recent residential break-ins.
Police Chief Chris Knoll says that on October 4 just before noon, police were called following a report of a break and enter in progress at a residence in the 500 block of 9th Avenue. The homeowner was home at the time and scared off two males who were searching the home.
Not long after, police responded to a second reported break-and-enter in the 300 block of Second Street South in Hanover. Investigators determined this break-in involved the same two male suspects and had actually occurred around 10:30 a.m. that same day.
Hanover Police Service is working with other investigators in neighbouring jurisdictions who believe the same two male suspects are responsible for break-and-enters in other towns.
The suspects are believed to be of Eastern European descent and are working with others who remain outside the homes while the break and enters occur. Hanover Police investigators are asking Hanover residents to check their surveillance videos within several blocks of these areas for the morning of October 4 in an attempt to identify these suspects or any associated vehicles.
