The Hanover Police Service has joined CamSafe.
A release from Hanover Police Chief, Chris Knoll, shares that CamSafe is an online database that allows residents, businesses and other property owners the ability to register any security and surveillance cameras to a registry.
That registry is available to local police, who can quickly see if there are security and surveillance devices in a certain area where a crime may have occurred. The database does not allow access to the actual cameras, it simply shows where cameras are located on properties who register, with contact information so police can hopefully solve crimes more quickly and efficiently.
Hanover Police Service will be running daily prize draws for those who register for CamSafe during Crime Prevention Week, which runs November 6-12.
