Georgian Bluffs extends Volunteer Awards nomination deadline

The Township of Georgian Bluffs has extended the nomination deadline for its annual Volunteer Awards. The new date is November 16.

The new deadline was to give more time for residents to familiarize themselves with the added categories.

"We had our inaugural year in 2022, but we did some amendments to the policy which now see a shift in the different types of categories," said Carly Craig, acting clerk for the township. "This is just an opportunity to make people aware of the new categories, in case one of the new categories really speaks to somebody."

The categories include the Georgian Bluffs Community Service Award, the Georgian Bluffs Lifetime Volunteer Award, and the Youth of the Year Award.

"Council is really looking to see members of our community who show a significant commitment to the community and somebody who's deserving of recognition for their sheer commitment to making Georgian Bluffs a better place to live," said Craig.

Nomination forms can be found here or picked up in person at the Township Administration Office on Grey Road 18.

Craig can also be contacted to answer any questions at 519-376-2729 ext. 602 or email ccraig@georgianbluffs.ca.
