OPP lay impaired driving charges hours apart

Grey Bruce OPP have reported two calls involving alleged impaired drivers, hours apart.

On November 6, just before 4:40 p.m., police responded to reports of a suspicious person. Reports said a driver looked to be sleeping in the driver's seat on 4th Avenue Southwest in Georgian Bluffs.

Officers say the driver showed signs of impairment and they had reason to believe the individual was impaired by drug.

A 53-year-old man from Owen Sound was arrested. He faces charges for operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs.

Just after 8:50 p.m., Grey Bruce OPP responded to a motor vehicle collision on Grey Road 5 at Concession 3 in Georgian Bluffs. Officers said they had reason to believe the driver had an alcoholic drink.

A 36-year-old man of Northern Bruce Peninsula faces charges for operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs and failure or refusal to comply with demand.
