Kincardine recruits another doctor

The Municipality of Kincardine announced it has successfully recruited another physician to the community.

Dr. Pamela Gill will be moving to the area, potentially able to practice family medicine as soon as July of next year.

“I am excited to practice medicine in Kincardine. My family and I love the outdoors and feel that it will be a wonderful place to both work and raise our family,” said Dr. Gill in a media release.

A graduate of McMaster University’s medical school, Dr. Gill is currently completing her medical residency in London. She will be the fourth physician recruitment planning to join the community in 2024.

“The efforts of our physician recruiter and the Kincardine Family Physicians are showing with these new hires," said Mayor Ken Craig. "We have a positive future for recruitment, retention, and for the doctors and their families joining us. I would personally like to welcome Dr. Gill to our community.”

The Kincardine Family Health Organization currently has ten physicians providing primary care for 14,500 patients. A full complement would be more than 15 physicians.
