$243,000 in ketamine seized

A man from the Newmarket area is facing charges after nearly a quarter of a million dollars worth of ketamine that was bound for a home in Hepworth was seized by the Canada Border Services Agency.

The six kilograms of ketamine, that police say is worth $243,000, was sent to Canada from the Netherlands.

Grey Bruce OPP launched an investigation after the seizure.

On December 15, a 41-year-old individual of Holland Landing was arrested and charged with two counts of importing a controlled substance and one count of possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking.
