The Wingham and District Hospital Foundation has gotten more help toward purchasing a new CT scanner.
Kinetrics Inc. has donated $75,000 over the next three years towards the foundation's Caring Together campaign, which is raising $2.5 million to advance digital imaging and offer best practices for patient care.
The foundation is optimistic it can reach its goal by the summer this year, and can hopefully have the CT scanner in the building in Wingham by sometime in 2025.
“Kinectrics is proud to support the Caring Together campaign, which will help enhance care for the community and expand on the digital imaging services being offered,” said John D’Angelo, Chief Nuclear Officer at Kinectrics. “By making a CT Scanner available on site, more patients will be able to receive the high-quality care they deserve locally and further enhance the hospital services.”
"We are grateful to the team at Kinectrics for their generosity. This gift to the CT Scanner will play a key role in the well-being of our hospital and community,” said Nicole Duquette-Jutzi, Foundation Executive Director. “The support from Kinectrics will have a positive impact on the care received by patients throughout the entire region."
