Blood donation event coming up in Mount Forest as need for blood increases

Canadian Blood Services is asking everyone to "Spring Into Action" and donate blood this spring.

Another local blood donation event will take place in Mount Forest on Tuesday, April 9. It will be at the Mount Forest Recreation Complex from 1-7 p.m.

Canadian Blood Services says it is in critical need of blood and plasma donations, particularly from those who are Type O-Negative, which is the universal blood type that can be given to anyone.

You can sign up to donate on the GiveBlood App, by calling 1-888-2-DONATE or at Blood.ca.
