Lucknow Kinsmen Club makes contribution toward Wingham Hospital's CT Scanner

Lucknow Kinsmen Club has stepped up with a $100,000 donation to the Wingham & District Hospital Foundation's Caring Together campaign, aimed at bringing a new CT Scanner to the hospital.

This generous contribution marks a lifetime total of $390,000 given by the Kinsmen Club to support healthcare initiatives in the region.

President Cal McDonagh emphasized the significance of local hospitals and the community's well-being, expressing the club's commitment to ensuring their hospitals are well-equipped for the future.

The funds for this donation were largely raised through the successful Lucknow's Music in the Fields event, with the 2024 edition scheduled for August 22 to 24. Tickets are available at www.musicinthefields.ca.

This substantial contribution bolsters the Caring Together campaign's progress toward its $2.5 million target, specifically for the CT Scanner project at Wingham & District Hospital. Executive Director Nicole Duquette said “We’re extremely grateful to the Kinsmen Club for the huge amount of time and effort they put into raising funds that make such a big difference throughout our whole region. Our hospital is a better place today because of their generosity".

The campaign has now exceeded $1.7 million in donations, with more information and donation options available at www.wdhfoundation.ca.
