Wellington County OPP have released more details on a suspect wanted in connection with a sexual assault investigation from last month.
According to police, the incident occurred on April 30 at a retailer in Fergus. While officials already have a description and photo of the suspect - a tall, heavy set man estimated to be in his 50s or 60s and wearing spandex shorts - they now have identified his vehicle as well.
Police say the man was driving a dark sedan similar to a Volkswagen Jetta or Passat.
Investigators have also learned of another similar instance that reportedly took place last summer at a business in West Garafaxa.
Police say on the afternoon of July 27, 2023, a man matching that description made conversation with a female employee about "how he had lost weight and wanted to show off his physique."
The man was described as 40-50 years-old, wearing red spandex shorts, a ball cap, a dark windbreaker, and operating a grey Volkswagen sedan, possibly a Passat or Jetta.
