Driver stopped twice 20 minutes apart for speeding

Grey Bruce OPP have charged a driver twice, just under 20 minutes apart, following two traffic stops over the Victoria Day long weekend.

On May 19 at 4:24 p.m., officers saw a vehicle going over the 80 km speed limit on Highway 6 in South Bruce Peninsula. A traffic stop was conducted.

The driver, a 31-year-old from Brampton, was served provincial offences notice for allegedly going 129 km/hr in an 80 km zone.

Later at 4:42 p.m., the same vehicle was stopped by another officer on the Highway 6 in Northern Bruce Peninsula. An additional offense notice was given for allegedly going 115 km/hr in an 80 km zone.

Grey Bruce OPP are reminding all drivers to report dangerous driving by calling 911.
