The Township of Georgian Bluffs has launched a new 24/7 hotline dedicated to addressing issues related to Short-Term Accommodations (STAs) within the community.
According to the township, the new service aims to enhance community safety and support good neighbour relationships. It will offer a reliable point of contact for both STA property owners and neighbours.
A media release said the hotline will allow the community to report any disturbances or complaints directly, 24 hours a day. The hotline can be reached at (226) 909-2060, so STA operators can manage tenant issues quickly and efficiently.
Operators have been encouraged to provide their contact details to ensure they can be reached immediately should any problems arise. In instances where the STA operator cannot resolve an issue within an hour, the matter will escalate to the Township’s By-Law Enforcement services.
STA operators are requested to update their contact information through the STA Operator Contact Form available at georgianbluffs.ca/STAContact. This will facilitate prompt communication and effective handling of any issues that may arise.
Community members can also report issues online at georgianbluffs.ca/ContactGB.
Additional staffing has been allocated to by-law enforcement to cover evenings, nights, and weekends, including holidays.
