The Municipality of Kincardine is offering condolences to the family of a former council member who has passed away.
Marsha Leggett had a long a distinguished career in local municipal government. Leggett first served as a clerk and later the reeve of for the Corporation of the Village of Tiverton in the 1970s.
Later, Leggett would serve as a Kincardine Council member from 2006-2010.
Flags have been lowered to half-staff across the municipality to honour the legacy of Marsha Leggett. They will remain lowered until June 5.
“Our community is a better place thanks to the commitment and passion Ms. Leggett gave throughout her lifetime,” commented Mayor Kenneth Craig. “On behalf of Council and our community, I extend our condolences to Marsha’s family and friends during this sad time.”
