Charbonneau family kicks off commemorative brick campaign for AWC

The family of Saugeen Shores mayor has made a sizeable donation to the Aquatic and Wellness Centre to launch its commemorative brick campaign.

In honour of Wes and Glenna Chalmers, the Charbonneau family made a $25,000 donation.

"My parents and I are pleased to support the Aquatics and Wellness Centre project with this donation," said Mayor Luke Charbonneau. "It is a fitting tribute to my grandparents who were always community minded and ready to support a good cause. We look forward to seeing their names whenever we visit this exciting new community facility."

Commemorative bricks will be installed outside of the community rooms at the Centre, and the Town says it provides a long-lasting, memorable way for residents and business members of the community to invest in the facility.

Bricks can be purchased online or at The Town of Saugeen Shores reception desk.
