Canadian Blood Services to host more donation events this summer

Canadian Blood Services will host more donation events this summer with the hopes of building up critically needed supply of blood and plasma.

The Mount Forest Recreation Complex will host donation events on July 2 and July 30, from 1-7 p.m.

Additionally, the Owen Sound Legion will welcome donations on July 3 and July 31, from 1-7 p.m.

A release from Canadian Blood Services shares that the summer months often mean a change in routine for people in Canada, as we enjoy outdoor activities, travel and long weekend adventures. But patients still need the help of donors and are grateful for their generosity.

Each year, it takes thousands of donors to save the lives of patients across Canada.

You can book your blood or plasma donation by downloading the GiveBlood app, calling 1 888 2 DONATE (1-888-236-6283) or booking now at blood.ca
