The Huron Perth Public Health Unit (HPPH) is looking for a dog involved in an incident Saturday afternoon in Stratford.
The health unit said it happened on Franklin Drive.
The dog is described as large, dark and light brown in colour, possibly a mixed breed.
It was leashed at the time but got away.
One female was allegedly with the dog when the incident happened.
The health unit is investigating the incident to check if the dog has up-to-date rabies vaccination.
Residents are reminded to always get the contact information of the owners of an animal that is involved in an incident.
