Grey Bruce OPP are investigating a long string of recent break-and-enters in the Meaford area.
On June 23 around 8:30 p.m., officers responded to a break-and-enter on Albert Street between Thompson Street and Victor Street in Meaford. It is believed that the break-in occurred that day between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Approximately $300 in camping supplies was taken.
Additionally, on June 24, police responded to three separate break-and-enter reports.
A resident on Parker Street West, West of Thompson Street in Meaford called police to report that an individual stole a bicycle from their shed. The bicycle was valued at $200.
Then, a resident on Birchwood Court in Meaford called police to report a few bicycles stolen from their property.
Finally, a resident on Parker Street West, West of Thompson Street in Meaford called police to report a break-and-enter there.
Police have now received video surveillance footage that has identified a person of interest. Investigators have learned the identity of the person captured on video surveillance. More updates will be provided by police.
Police are asking for anyone with video surveillance in these areas from June 23 through June 24 to check their recordings. If anyone has any information, contact Grey Bruce OPP or Crime Stoppers.
