A kayaker had to be rescued from Lake Huron over the weekend.
Huron OPP's marine patrol officers were checking vessels between Point Clark and Grand Bend when they found the overturned kayak. Officers brought the kayaker safely back to shore, OPP said in a post on social media on Monday.
In total, marine officers checked 80 vessels both Saturday and Sunday, resulting in one lifejacket-related charge being laid.
Several minor warnings were also given.
Police thanked all of those who were out on the water making safety a priority and reminded that lifejackets save lives.
"Look after your loved ones. Boating safety is everyone's responsibility," police said.
