The Stratford General Hospital Foundation is bringing back a previously successful fundraiser.
Beginning at 10a.m. on September 3, tickets will be available for purchase at www.sgh5050.ca. In-person ticket sales, using debit or credit card, will also be available at the Stratford General Hospital Foundation office, during office hours.
Ticket packages include 300 tickets for $40, 100 tickets for $20, 20 tickets for $10 and five tickets for $5.
Those who purchase tickets early for September’s draw also have the chance to be entered into two Early Bird draws. The first Early Bird Draw for $250 will take place on September 10, tickets must be purchased by September 9 at 11 p.m. The second Early Bird Draw for $500 will take place on September 17 with the ticket deadline being September 16 at 11 p.m. Tickets purchased prior to each Early Bird Draw Deadline will be eligible for that date’s prize draw and all remaining draws for the month.
The first Grand Prize Draw will take place on October 1 at 9 a.m. All ticket purchases must be made by September 30 at 11:59 p.m. The next draw will open immediately after, on October 1 at 10 a.m.
All proceeds will support the Foundation’s $30 Million In Our Hands Capital Campaign. The campaign aims to "put the latest equipment and technology in the hands of the healthcare professionals at the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance," according to a release from the hospital foundation. It will also help make the hospital’s new Cancer & Medical Care Clinic with co-located Pharmacy a reality.
“Thanks to tremendous community support we’re nearing our $30 Million goal,” said Cheryl Hunt, Executive Director. “Fundraising is like a marathon, and we hope these monthly 50/50 draws will help bring us even closer to the finish line or even push us past it! What’s great about this type of fundraiser is that we are able to give back to some of the incredible people who support us each year. In 2021 we gave out over $73,000 in prize winnings.”
Community members are encouraged to follow the Stratford General Hospital Foundation on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn for 50/50 updates.
