Six teenagers from Huron County are facing charges after being stopped with open alcohol inside a vehicle in Middlesex County.
OPP were called about items being tossed out of a moving vehicle on Hwy. 4 in Lucan Biddulph Township shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Friday. Officers stopped a vehicle matching the description and a search turned up the open containers of alcohol.
Five passengers, all 16-years-old from Huron County, are charged under the Liquor Licence Control Act with being a person under 19 years having liquor.
The driver of the vehicle, a 17-year-old from Blyth, was given a roadside sobriety test, which they passed. That teen is charged with driving a vehicle with liquor readily available.
Police used the incident as a reminder to the public to always report suspicious activity and suspected impaired driving.
