County opens applications for Community Grants Program

Wellington County has opened applications for the Community Grants Program.

The program is designed to invite local not-for-profit organizations to seek funding for initiatives that make a difference in local communities.

Through the program, the county will provide up to $2,000 to "assist with projects that provide meaningful benefits to the community and enhance the quality of life for residents."

The program supports many different initiatives, from cultural events and recreational activities to educational programming and social services. Grants can help cover operational costs, materials and other needs.

Eligible applicants must operate as a not-for-profit organization with a formal structure, such as a Board of Directors or similar committee. Additionally, the proposed project must deliver services or products that directly benefit residents.

Applications are open until November 30 of this year.

For more information or to apply, visit www.wellington.ca/grants.
