Two charged in South Huron drug bust

Two people face multiple charges after a drug investigation in Huron County.

A joint investigation by the Huron-Perth and Grey-Bruce OPP Community Street Crimes Units (CSCU), along with the West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Huron County OPP, has led to the seizure of illegal drugs and related property in South Huron.

The investigation culminated in a search warrant executed on November 28, 2024, at a Main Street residence in Exeter. Officers seized illegal substances, including cocaine and opioids, with a total estimated street value of $3,945. Additional items, including an imitation pellet gun, were also seized, valued at approximately $1,400.

A 29-year-old South Huron resident is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking in cocaine and fentanyl, as well as failure to comply with probation. A 58-year-old South Huron resident is charged with possession of cocaine and clonazepam.

Both individuals were processed and released from custody. They are scheduled to appear at the Goderich Ontario Court of Justice on January 13, 2025.
