County stars Jordan Davis, Josh Ross to headline Lucknow's Music in the Fields

Lucknow's annual summer music festival will once again feature a mix of international and homegrown talent.

Organizers for the 2025 Music in the Fields festival, slated for August 21 to 23 at the Graceland Event Grounds, unveiled this year's lineup over the weekend.

The three-day festival kicks off on the Thursday with tribute artists ABBA Revisited and Alabama devotees Mountain Music. The following night, Canadian country singer-songwriter Josh Ross will headline with Mildmay's Owen Riegling and blues-rock queen Sass Jordan also to take the stage. Riegling, known for country hit "Old Dirt Roads", won the 2024 Canadian Country Music awards for songwriter of the year and breakthrough artist of the year. Last week, he received a prestigious King Charles III Coronation Medal for achievements in the music industry.

The third and final day of Music in the Fields will see multi-platinum Nashville hitmaker Jordan Davis perform. Davis is known for hits "I Ain't Sayin'", "Next Thing You Know", and "Singles You Up". In 2022, he won the Country Music Association Award for song of the year for "Buy Dirt". The day will also feature Tenille Townes, The Washboard Union, Canadian rockers Big Sugar, Sacha, and Elton Lammie’s Country Kitchen Party.

"We’re incredibly excited to share this amazing lineup with members of our local community and devoted music fans from across North America,” Festival Co-Chair Rick McMurray said in a statement. “Each year, we strive to build on the one before and deliver a diverse group of performers and programming that appeals to music fans of all ages and backgrounds. I think our team has elevated the experience for 2025.”

All of the proceeds from the event, hosted by the Lucknow and District Kinsmen, go toward local community and charitable initiatives. To-date, the event has raised more than $1.7 million for the community.

Tickets for this year's festival are currently on sale at www.musicinthefields.ca.
