Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) is warning of a recent measles exposure at the Listowel Memorial Hospital.
HPPH states in a media release that the exposure occurred between 6:37 a.m. and 8:42 a.m. on Wednesday, April 16 in the emergency room at Listowel Memorial Hospital.
Anyone who was at this location during that timeframe needs to monitor for measles signs and symptoms for 21 days after exposure.
You are encouraged to contact HPPH if you were present at this location and you or your family member were born in or after 1970 and have not received two doses of measles-containing vaccines, or if you or your family member are at high risk of severe measles illness.
That includes people with compromised immunity, pregnant women, or infants less than 12 months old.
