South Bruce OPP have charged three people, two of whom are from Hanover, following a drug trafficking investigation.
On Friday, June 6 at 1:45 a.m., officers were called regarding a suspicious vehicle in the area of Goldie Street in the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie.
Police found the vehicle in question along Bruce Road 1 outside of Paisley. The OPP claims that an investigating officer saw illicit drugs that were in plain view.
The three occupants of the vehicle were all arrested. A search of the vehicle and suspects yielded 10 grams of suspected cocaine, five grams of suspected crack, 16 grams of suspected fentanyl, and various paraphernalia associated with drug consumption and trafficking.
As a result, a 44-year-old from New Brunswick and two Hanover residents, a 40-year-old and 16-year-old, have all been charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, with two counts attributed to the youth.
