Another household hazardous waste drop-off coming to Tobermory

There will be another household hazardous waste drop-off held by Bruce County, this time in Tobermory.

The latest drop-off will be on Saturday, August 16 from 8 a.m. until noon at the St. Edmunds Landfill Site in Tobermory.

Household hazardous waste materials include: paints and stains, propane tanks, used oil, aerosols, batteries, antifreeze, oil filters, solvents, household cleaners, fluorescent lights, fertilizers, fuel, pharmaceuticals, fire extinguishers, pesticides, and pool chemicals.

Bruce County reminds residents that commercial waste, agricultural waste, industrial waste, PCB’s, ammunitions and flares are not accepted.
