The Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health (CERH) held a garden party to celebrate the Cultivating Memories and Pollinator Pathways’ Project.
The party was held on August 7 with staff, residents, friends and family and community members at Southbridge Care Home’s Courtyard in Goderich.
According to a media release from the Gateway Centre, the Cultivating Memories and Pollinator Pathways’ Project is a "gardening initiative that establishes raised garden beds across long-term care and retirement homes in Huron County."
The new addition to the project at Southbridge Care Home in Goderich marks the seventh installment.
Additionally, Southbridge's garden on the 5th floor was honoured with the Butterfly Ranger Award by The Butterflyway Project Goderich for its native species planting efforts.
The project aims to improve quality of life for residents through horticultural therapy.
