Ten months after a delivery truck and van collided in Chatsworth, killing a 58-year-old, a careless driving charge has been laid.
The two-vehicle crash happened on Highway 10 near Grey Road 40 around 9 a.m. on November 21, 2024. One of the drivers was pronounced dead at the scene. They were later identified as a 58-year-old Georgian Bluffs resident.
The other driver was taken to hospital as a precaution.
On Friday, Grey Bruce OPP announced after a lengthy investigation that a 55-year-old man from Etobicoke is charged with careless driving in connection with the collision.
The accused has already made his first appearance in Owen Sound court.
