Charges laid after investigation into crash involving pedestrian

South Bruce OPP have charged a 21-year-old from Owen Sound after investigating a spring crash involving a pedestrian.

According to police, on March 7 just before 8 a.m., police along with the Arran-Elderslie Fire Department and Bruce County Paramedic Services responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on the Grey Bruce Line between Concession 2 and Concession 4 in Arran-Elderslie.

The 28-year-old pedestrian from Aurora was taken to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.

After what police called a "thorough investigation" a 21-year-old from Owen Sound has been charged with careless driving causing bodily harm.

The accused is set to appear at the Walkerton Ontario Provincial Offences Court on October 7 to answer to the charge.
