Pair of drivers charged after damage caused in Goderich

Two young drivers have been charged after property was damaged in Goderich.

According to Huron County OPP, police were contacted on September 13 regarding damage to property owned by the town at the Cove Beach area.

Video surveillance in the area caught two different drivers performing stunts with their vehicles in the parking area near the Cove Beach on September 13.

Officers were able to identify and track down both drivers.

A 23-year-old from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh and a 22-year-old from Central Huron have both been charged with mischief under $5,000. Both drivers were also issued a stunt driving charge.

Both of the accused are scheduled for a court appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich on November 24 to answer to the charges.
