Huron Chamber unveils finalists for 20th annual Spirit of Success awards

The Huron Chamber of Commerce has announced the finalists for the 20th Annual Spirit of Success Awards. The milestone celebration takes place Friday, November 21, 2025 at the Libro Community Hall in Clinton.

This year marks the first time the awards will recognize businesses and individuals from across all of Huron County, highlighting excellence in every corner of the community. Thirty-three finalists have been named, representing a diverse mix of industries including agriculture, retail, tourism, manufacturing, and community service.

"Every finalist represents the hard work, creativity, and community spirit that make Huron County such an exceptional place," said Colin Carmichael, Executive Director of the Huron Chamber of Commerce. "It’s a privilege for the Chamber to recognize these efforts and share their stories of success. As we reflect on 20 years of celebrating local achievement, we’re reminded of the powerful role business plays in shaping our shared future."

The gala, sponsored in part by Blackburn Media Inc., will honour local businesses, organizations, and individuals demonstrating leadership, innovation, and a commitment to community.

Tickets are now on sale through Eventbrite or by contacting the Chamber directly. Chamber members receive discounted pricing. The evening will include dinner, live entertainment, and networking opportunities with business and community leaders.

Among the finalists are:

-Volunteer Award: Steven Bruce, Natalie Cousteils, Lori Carter, and Bernice Glenn

-Diversity Award: Pick a Posie Vintage, Multicultural Association of Perth-Huron

-Environmental & Sustainability Award: Meeting Place Organic Farm, Jokey North America

-Community Impact Award: Team Petteplace Children’s Business Market, Home for the Holidays, Friends of Ball’s Bridge & Little Lakes, 2025 Belmore Homecoming, C4th Homecoming 2025, Clinton 150

-Employer of Choice Award: Jokey North America, Brussels Foodland

-New Business Award: ELLIE & CO., VIBE, Raven and Zoey Boutique, Ruetz Country Market, Salt Mine Creamery

-Young Entrepreneur Award: The Aaniin Collective, Blake Street Bakery

-Innovation Award: Royal Canadian Legion Branch 109, Epi-Sense

-Service Award: Small Town Paralegal, Brussels Foodland

-Hospitality Business Award: Steve and Mary’s On The Square, Bayfield Lavender Farm, Auburn Riverside Retreat Campground, The Park Theatre

-Retail Business Award: Brussels Foodland, Blake’s Consignment

The Business of the Year will be revealed during the gala.

"This event is about celebrating the people and businesses that make Huron County stronger every year," added Carmichael. "We’re proud to showcase their achievements and the incredible sense of community that drives our local economy."
