The Ontario Hockey League (OHL) has announced that the 2027 Connor McDavid OHL Top Prospects Game will be held at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre in Owen Sound on Wednesday, January 20, 2027.
The event, which showcases the league’s top draft-eligible talent in an East vs. West format, follows this week’s 2026 game taking place in Peterborough. Last year’s inaugural game in Brantford attracted nearly 200 NHL scouts and featured an overtime thriller, quickly establishing the showcase as a key event on the hockey calendar.
"Owen Sound holds a unique place in our league as a community that brings big-time energy and enthusiasm in a close-knit setting," said OHL Commissioner Bryan Crawford. "The Attack have a passionate fan base and a long tradition of outstanding support for the OHL. The Bayshore will provide an electric atmosphere for our top prospects, and we know the Owen Sound community will embrace this opportunity to host NHL scouts and hockey fans from across the OHL."
"We’re excited to welcome the hockey world to Owen Sound. Our franchise has a proud history of hosting special hockey events… These events are best staged in communities with a deep understanding and passion for our sport and that accurately describes the incredible Attack hockey fans of Grey and Bruce Counties," Owen Sound Attack President Dr. Bob Severs said.
Mayor Ian Boddy added, "Owen Sound is proud to welcome the OHL Top Prospects Game to our community. This event represents an excellent opportunity to showcase our city, our facilities and our dedication to hockey on a national stage."
Season ticket holders for the Owen Sound Attack will have first access to tickets, with further details and special events to be announced in the coming months.
