United Housing hits 75 per cent of fundraising goal for Listowel housing project

United Housing has hit the 75 per cent mark of its fundraising goal for its housing project in Listowel.

The Music Hall Apartments project in downtown Listowel will be located at 190–198 Main Street West. It includes 4,500 square feet of currently unused space. The finished project will encompass a mix of market-rate, moderately priced workforce units and deeply affordable units.

United Housing, United Way Perth Huron's not-for-profit housing corporation, has a fundraising goal of $705,000, and has raised $529,031 as of January 15.

The organization aims to "work across our region, creating affordable living spaces through renovations, retrofits, acquisitions, and new builds, as well as operating existing and newly built housing," according to a press release from the United Way.
