Two people were transported to hospital after a plane had to make an emergency landing near Fergus Tuesday evening.
According to Wellington County OPP, around 5:15 p.m, emergency services responded to a report of a plane that collided in a field on Beatty Line between Sideroad 10 and Sideroad 5.
Police said the aircraft experienced an engine malfunction, prompting an emergency landing. The two people on board sustained minor, non-life threatening injuries and were taken to local hospital for assessment.
Transport Canada has been notified of the collision.
