No injuries after car crashes into Palmerston Foodland

No one was injured following a crash that saw a vehicle slam into the front of the Foodland in Palmerston over the weekend.

According to Wellington County OPP, officers responded at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, to a reported collision on the Main Street of Palmerston. Local fire services also responded to the scene.

Police discovered that a vehicle had driven into the front entrance of the Foodland, but luckily, no one was injured, including the driver.

So far, police say no charges have been laid as a result of the incident. There is also no damage estimate for the damage done to the front of the store. The crash did cause the store to close for the remainder of the day Saturday, but it did re-open to customers on Sunday.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who has dash-cam footage to reach out to Wellington County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
