Two Huron beaches under no-swim advisory

The first water testing of Huron Perth public beaches in 2026 has led to a pair of no-swim advisories.

Public Health's inspection team said bacteria levels were too high at Port Albert and Goderich Rotary Cove Beach.

Warnings will be posted at those beaches until further notice, as swimming could cause a risk of exposure to bacteria that may cause diarrhea or infections of ears, nose, throat, eyes, and skin.

Retesting results will be shared on Saturday.

Public Health said this will be the final summer beach testing results are shared on Twitter. Results are also available on Instagram.
