One man and one dog are dead after being struck by a vehicle south of Clinton on Friday evening.
Just after 9 p.m. on August 21, emergency services responded to a collision on Hwy 4 just north of Vanastra Road.
According to Huron County OPP, a pedestrian and their dog both had been struck by a pickup truck.
The 72-year-old man from Central Huron was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the dog was gravely injured and euthanized on scene.
The driver of the truck remained on scene.
Members from the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team were at the scene to assist with the collision investigation.
Hwy 4 was closed overnight but reopened Saturday morning.
