Huron County looking to round out committees and boards

The County of Huron is seeking residents that are interested in serving on one of three boards or committees with a vacancy.

Applications are currently being accepted for the Huron County Accessibility Advisory Committee, Library Board and Audit Committee.

The County says they're looking for people that want to help make a difference in their community.

"These boards and committees provide an important opportunity for residents to bring their experience, knowledge and perspectives to the work of the County," said Huron County Clerk, Susan Cronin. "We encourage anyone with an interest in accessibility, public libraries, or municipal financial oversight to consider applying."

All positions are voluntary and include a small honorarium and reimbursement of eligible expenses.

Meetings may be held in person, virtually or in a hybrid format, depending on the board or committee.

Interested applicants are asked to submit a written application or letter of interest by September 14 to the County Clerk at [email protected].
