Both games went to overtime and on both occasions the Manchester Monarchs edged the Utica Comets to take a 2-0 lead in the AHL's Calder Cup Final.
Huron County's Cal O'Reilly captains the Comets and has one assist in the series. The Varna native has 16 points in the playoffs but is yet to score a goal.
Utica has kept things close losing 3-2 in overtime to open up the series. They went down 2-1 in game 2, also in overtime.
Now they come back home and will host games 3 and 4. If they are able to win at least one then the series stays in New York State for game 5.
Manchester also has a local connection. Former Listowel Cyclone Ryan Horvat has played in 9 playoff games with 1 goal.
