OASA Eliminations Begin In July

A number of local teams will be gunning to be the top softball team in their respective division and it all starts with the OASA elimination tournaments coming up in July.

In Chepstow, organizers are getting ready for the OASA Bantam Eliminations running from July 3-5.

The Lang Farms Lightning is in the running against teams from Arthur, Shallow Lake, Cambridge, Owen Sound, Ennismore, Elmvale, Tavistock, Hopeville, Stouffville, Kitchener-Waterloo and Elmira. Two teams from the Chepstow Eliminations go to the Canadian Championship.

Chepstow Lions Park and Pavilion will be the central location for the tournament with cost of admission is $5 per day or $8 for a weekend pass.

On the same weekend Owen Sound is hosting the Jr. Eliminations. The Selects will greet teams from as far east as Oshawa with Chatsworth and Saugeen  adding to the local content.

Napanee is hosting the Peewee Eliminations with local teams from Belmore, Elma, Chatsworth and Shallow Lake eligible to compete. The competition runs July 26-28.

Also running from the 26th to 28th is the Midget eliminations in Tavistock, there are no local teams featured in that competition.
