The Hometown Heroes is adding more local players to the roster for next week's charity hockey game.
Former Kitchener Rangers captain and Clinton-area native Liam Maaskant and newest Toronto Maple Leaf Nick Spaling from Drayton are confirmed for the game.
They'll be joined by Kenny Huether, Londesborough-native and Memorial Cup winner with the Oshawa Generals; his brother Ray Huether a Centre for the North Bay Battalion in the OHL; and Brandon DeFazio, team mates with Cal O'Reilly and Calder Cup Finalist with the Utica Comets. Brandon also played his first NHL game this year with the Vancouver Canucks.
The Hometown Heroes charity hockey game supports the Alexandra Marine and General Hospital in Goderich, the Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health in Seaforth and the Goderich-Huron YMCA.
The game will be played on Thursday, July 23rd at the Maitland Rec Centre in Goderich.
